Fishing found me as a young boy on Okanagan Lake where I rowed my Lil’ Red Hootie boat for hours each summer day. Watching the sun rise, eagles soar, all the while hooking and reeling in endless trout on my line.

Throughout the seasons I had the privilege of being mentored by some of the finest fisherman. Learning the art of fly tying, while becoming a member of the Canadian Fly Fishing team. We showed well during international competitions and built life long friendships. Being involved was a solid anchor and incentive to keep my grades up, while teaching work ethic, patience and perseverance.

It has been a blessing in my youth to find something that keeps me dreaming and fills my days with purpose. I look forward to being an ambassador to other young fishermen coming behind me so I may in turn pay this gift forward.
